2025 WEBINAR Series: Session Three
October 21, 2025 12PM EST | 5PM BST | 6PM CET
In this executive-level session, Andreas Welsch, CEO & Chief AI Strategist and author of the AI Leadership Handbook, joins TJC Group to discuss how businesses can unlock the full potential of AI within their SAP landscapes. While SAP has made it easier than ever to start AI projects, sustainable value depends on one often-overlooked asset: historic data. This conversation explores why high-quality data is essential for reliable predictions, how organizations can turn dormant data into a competitive advantage, and what steps leaders should take to prepare for AI-driven transformation.
Data is the foundation of every AI initiative, yet many organizations underestimate its importance.
With SAP making AI capabilities increasingly accessible in SAP S/4HANA, companies are eager to launch AI projects to optimize processes and gain new insights. However, the true differentiator between hype and measurable outcomes lies in the quality and completeness of the data fueling these solutions. Without sufficient historic data, predictive models struggle to provide actionable guidance, and investments fall short of expectations.
This session, led by AI strategy expert and former SAP AI executive Andreas Welsch and TJC Group leaders, explores how businesses can unlock the hidden treasure of their SAP data. Attendees will learn why data accessibility and governance are crucial, how archived information can become a source of AI advantage, and what leaders can do today to prepare their landscapes for future-ready AI solutions. The discussion will cover strategies for integrating legacy data, avoiding common pitfalls in early AI adoption, and ensuring that projects deliver tangible, reliable results instead of experimental outcomes.

This structured approach empowers organizations to make informed investment decisions, prioritize efforts effectively, and build the internal strength needed to capture long-term value from AI.
Join our panelists for a discussion about system decommissioning
and ask any questions during Q&A.
Here's a selection of some insightful resources to check before the webinar to get the engine started.
Two years after successfully implementing SAP S/4HANA, the manufacturer recognised the need to decommission its legacy SAP ERP system, aiming to streamline its complex SAP landscape. A key challenge was the need to preserve critical legacy data, including data from divested companies still under audit and HR data for retired pensioners, for long-term access.
Ever wondered how to modernise systems without sacrificing years of valuable legacy data? Can organisations really upgrade and adapt modern solutions without the fear of losing historical data? Well, this is often the most asked question, or rather a challenge, during the S/4HANA migration. However, what if there is a way to ensure that important legacy data remains unchanged?
ELSA is a system decommission cloud application to store and access legacy data at any time, from any source, through one single platform. Built on SAP BTP, ELSA allows users to visualise all systems that have been decommissioned (SAP and non-SAP) through the application legacy systems directory.
